Biography:
Professor AMOUGOU Joseph Armathé is a professor of Geography at University of Yaounde I in Cameroon and currently the General Manager of the National Observatory on Climate Change (ONACC) Cameroon. He obtained his Ph.D. in Geography; MSc in Hydrometeorology at the University of St. Petersburg, Russia; and BSc at the University of Yaounde I. He has produced over 141 weather forecasts and early warning bulletins (19 seasonals; 122 decadals). Furthermore, he produced 2 reports on assessment of climate change impacts in the agricultural sector and Greenhouse Gas Inventory reports in the Agriculture, Forestry and other land use sector for the Bimodal and Monomodal Rainforest Agroecological Zones of Cameroon and energy sector. In addition, he produced 8 climate profile from 1950-2015 in 8 of the 10 regions of Cameroon. More so, he has several publications in the field of climate change.
