Title : Nanochemistry: Current perspective and further prospects with Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Abstract:

Application of Nanochemistry in material science is critical in the field of Nanotechnology. Nanochemistry deals with the study of chemical phenomena at the nanoscale of 1 - 100 nanometers. This paper presents the importance of application of AI in Synthesis and characterization of materials at the nanoscale; an aspect that is faced with enormous challenges that have made most researchers to avoid the areas in research as much as possible. For example, one of the problems generally encountered by most postgraduate candidates is sending samples for characterization abroad with attendant high cost that is worrisome. Moreover, the instability in surface properties of synthesized nanomaterials after Synthesis make it difficult for intended applications. These bottlenecks requires innovative approach such as application of AI in the field of Nanotechnology. It has been established that Nanochemistry is applied in nanoparticles Design, Nanostructure Optimization, Materials Discovery, Synthesis Optimization and so on. Application of AI Techniques used in Nanochemistry are Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Natural Language Processing, while the benefits of AI in includes Accelerated Discovery, Improved Efficiency, Enhanced Accuracy, and New Insights into chemical materials.
