Title : X-ray crystallography & structure based drug design

Abstract:

Talk is based on isolation, extraction, purification and determination of three dimensional structure of bioactive compounds from medicinal as well as bio active compounds using x-ray crystallography as a tool. After determing the three dimensional structure of the compound, molecular docking studies will be carried out and the new structure will be deposited in CSD as well PDB. Our ultimate aim to find potent bioactive molecules for the treatment of cancer, COVID 19 etc.

Biography:

T. Srinivasan did his undergraduate and masters in A.M. Jain College affiliated to University of Madras. He completed his master’s in Physics (2008) and secured university first rank for the same. He was awarded with JRF and SRF by Department of Science and Technology. He completed his PhD from the Department of Crystallography and Biophysics under University of Madras in the year 2015. He has more than 15 years of experience in teaching as well as research. He has published more than 80 publications in National as well as international Journals.
