Isaac C. Aviña, is a Material Scientist at Sandia National Laboratories. He has a Masters of Science in chemical and biomolecular engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. His current roles include Principal Investigator for the Advanced Manufacturing Team as well as Principle Investigator of the Biomanufacturing Program Sandia National Labs. His past roles include experimentalist within nanobiology groups, lead research for polymer thermoset development, hardware component fabrication lead as well as principal investigator for bioremediation of plastic pollution. He has extensive experience in materials characterization, polymer functionalization and process engineering with expertise in material design and development.
